USGA Unified Championship App

Goal

The USGA puts on 15 championships each year, including 5 Open Championships and 10 amateur championships — but fans had a hard time finding all the info they needed. Separate apps and websites for each championship made the experience confusing and fragmented. The USGA wanted one seamless digital home that could handle all of it.

Solution

We designed and engineered the USGA App from the insights up: diving into data to understand what fans actually needed, then building an experience organized around five principles — Engaging, Personal, Accessible, Contextual, and Extensible. A cross-functional team of designers, developers, and strategists worked alongside third-party providers to ship live scoring, streaming, GPS wayfinding, and mobile ticketing in one unified app.
